'home' belongs to the chairman of Reliance Industries, Mr Mukesh
Ambani and gets its name from the mystical legendary island in the
Atlantic Ocean.
The
house has naturally been the center of not only a lot of
controversies and attention but has also gained a lot of negative
publicity from the media.

from being alleged of being built on the land belonging to an
orphanage to black money transactions and corruption to helipads

parking...Antilia has seen it all!
The
city of Mumbai, which shelters the continent's biggest slum, is now
known to house this megalomaniac structure too... (which looks
amazingly ugly on the outside.) If you're wondering how huge this
house measures – 4,00,000 square feet!
The
house has been termed as a perfect example of the rich-man's lack of
empathy for the poor.
However,
one can be rest assured that on the inside, building known as the
most expensive house in the world is nothing short of magnanimous and
beautiful... The plush interiors boast of high quality of
construction, and no two rooms in the house look the same... But the
Ambanis haven risen far above all this.. 570 feet above to be

just after the completion of the house, the Ambanis were downright
terrified of setting foot in there because it did not follow 'Vastu
Shastra' rules – something so important to them which they had
somehow overlooked while the house was being built! Now that all is
hunky dory, lets take a sneak peak into the 4,00,000 square feet
home, which can also resist an 8 richter scale earthquake, and houses
a family of 6 and 600 staff members!

FLOORS: According to the plan, the house will rise to a height of
173.12 meters, equivalent to that of a regular 60 -storeyed residential building . However, Antilia will have only 27 storeys in all. SIX FLOORS FOR PARKING: The first six floors have been reserved for parking alone, and that too for cars belonging only to Mukesh's family. Space for a total of 168 imported cars has been earmarked here. ENTERTAINMENT FLOOR: The eighth floor has an entertainment center comprising a mini-theater. BALCONIES WITH GARDENS: The rooftop of the mini-theater serves as a garden, and immediately above that, three more balconies with terrace gardens. THE HEALTH FLOORS: While the ninth floor has a 'refuge' floor - meant to be used for rescue in emergencies - two floors above that have been set aside for health. It has facilities for athletics and a swimming pool, while the other has a health club. FOR GUESTS: There are two-storeyed glass-fronted apartments for the Ambani family's guests above the health floors. FAMILY: The four floors at the top, which provide a view of the Arabian Sea and a superb view of the city's skyline, are designed for Mukesh, his wife Neeta, their three kids and Mukesh's mother Kokilaben. AIR SPACE FLOOR: Two floors above the family's residence have been set aside as maintenance areas, and on top of that, there is an 'air space floor,' which acts as a control room for helicopters landing on the helipad above.
